It has been part of Asbury’s story since 1993 and represents joy, creativity, faith, and the people who helped keep this church going through difficult years. Read the story behind the clown.
A Sunday morning at Asbury.
Worship begins at 11:00 AM at 1008 E. Henry Street in Savannah. Parking is available behind the church, with the entrance from Waters Avenue.
People come dressed in everything from dresses and jackets to jeans and more casual clothes. There is no dress code. Our hope is that you can settle in, breathe, and experience worship without worrying about whether you are doing church “right.”
Our services blend Scripture, thoughtful preaching, music, creativity, prayer, and community. The arts are part of our life together, and you may encounter choir music, theatre, storytelling, visual art, or something wonderfully unexpected.
Children are part of the community.
Nursery care is available for newborns through age 5. Godly Play welcomes children from age 5 through 5th grade with an imaginative, story-centered approach to faith.
Families are welcome to choose what works best for them. Children are never an interruption to worship.
Stay for Coffee Hour.
After every Sunday service, everyone is invited to Coffee Hour in the Social Hall. It is one of the easiest ways to meet a few people, ask a question, and begin getting to know Asbury at your own pace.
You can stay for five minutes or settle in for a conversation. Either way, you are welcome.
An open table.
Communion is celebrated on the first Sunday of each month. The table is open, and gluten-free bread is available. You do not need to be a member of Asbury to participate.
