König & Meyer (K&M) was founded in 1949 in Germany by Karl König and Erich Meyer with 10 employees, initially producing music stands. The company expanded its product line to include various music stands and accessories, which gained popularity with the rise of rock ‘n’ roll. After Karl König’s death in 1968, his son Martin took over, leading the company to build a second factory and expand its market.
