Protec was established in 1969 as one of the first companies to design specialized protective bags and cases for professional musicians. The company’s initial vision was to collaborate with musicians to provide quality protective solutions for their tools which had been previously overlooked.
In 1984, Protec developed and patented the PRO PAC case. This was a significant innovation, offering a lightweight, shock-absorbing hardshell case that combined the protection of a traditional wood case with the convenience and storage benefits of a soft-sided gig bag. Over the years, Protec has continued to expand its product lines, introducing various series like the budget-friendly MAX cases and the versatile iPAC series with modular interiors. Today, Protec cases are used by musicians worldwide and are distributed globally, maintaining their original vision of “innovative design for creative people”.
