Even though Tanzeum is gone, its history still tells us a lot about how GLP-1 medications evolved.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Early GLP-1 drugs were mostly focused on blood sugar management. Over time, researchers realized the real breakthrough happened when these medications could also strongly influence appetite, satiety, and brain signaling related to food intake.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
That shift helped transform GLP-1 medications from diabetes drugs into some of the most important metabolic treatments in modern medicine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
