If you\u2019ve started up around Connecticut, Wilmington, Delaware, is a great place to stop for a break and burn off some energy. The DuPont Environmental Education Center is located just off exit 6 on I-95. As well as the center itself, it is\u00a0 one of only a handful of urban wildlife areas in the country. There\u2019s an admission fee for adults over 16, but it\u2019s cheaper and faster than going into the heart of the city.<\/p>\n<p>Depending on your schedule and distance, you may want to stay overnight in Richmond, Virginia. There are plenty of museums, restaurants and great views along the James River. Alternatively, if you just want a quick break to stretch the legs, the Lewis Ginter Botanical Gardens (exit 83B) have a children\u2019s garden where kids can play and there\u2019s even a tree house for extra fun.<\/p>\n<p>On the border between North and South Carolina, you\u2019ll find a well-known pit stop. All through North Carolina, you\u2019ll see billboards for South of the Border, and its iconic sombrero. Once there, there\u2019s plenty of fun sights and photo opportunities, kitschy fun, as well as three restaurants, a motel, a small amusement park, and even a reptile lagoon.<\/p>\n<p>Georgia is famous for its peach and pecan stands at exits all along the Interstate, so don\u2019t miss out on this famous fruit.<\/p>\n<p>Next thing you know, you\u2019re in Florida.
