Small Block Ford Balancer Washer; BLP offers a special recessed washer to hold the balancer on. The crankshaft extends through the balancer and most engine builders use a sleeve over the crankshaft then a flat washer to hold the balancer. The BLP balancer washer is a one-piece recessed heavy-duty washer that goes over the crankshaft and seats against the balancer.
